Science and Climate: Rhama Analysis director participated in FAPESP's landmark research project on the Amazon.

Maria Assunção Dias , Director of Meteorology at Rhama Analysis , was one of the researchers who integrated and coordinated, between 1998 and 2010 , the Large-Scale Biosphere-Atmosphere Experiment in Amazonia (LBA) project , a landmark in the history of Brazilian climate science.


The research, supported by FAPESP (São Paulo Research Foundation) , aimed to understand how the Amazonian system influences the climate of Brazil and the planet . The studies yielded unprecedented data on the exchange of energy, moisture, and carbon between the forest and the atmosphere, expanding knowledge about the importance of the Amazon for global climate balance.


Today, as director of Rhama Analysis, Maria Assunção brings this scientific expertise to the applied field of operational meteorology and climate analysis , connecting academic research to solutions that support environmental management, monitoring, and real-time decision-making .
